Why choose them? Because they looked like fun additions to my blog.
I enjoyed YouTube because there is so much variety on that website. How could YouTube be used in a library environment? Well, videocasting library programs that lend themselves to such a medium would be good. Storytimes could be videocast; educational programs, maybe gaming tournaments, booktalking, book discussion groups could also be videocast. It would be a good outreach tool. It could also be used to advertise summer reading activities and any special programs. They could be changed often so that what is posted is always timely.
